Tree Preservation Orders & Conservation areas
Trees often require attention, whether it’s regular pruning to control the shape and size of the foliage or felling a tree if it has become dangerous. Our expert team provides comprehensive tree and hedge services to ensure your greenery remains safe and healthy, whilst still looking good.
While many trees can be cared for and maintained with the land owner’s permission, some trees may have a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) applied. This means you must get permission from your local planning department before any work commences and they will be precise with the work that you are allowed to do to your tree.
Trees situated within conservation areas also require an application to be sent to the local authority. This involves providing 8 weeks’ notice of the intended works, allowing the local authority to decide whether to apply a TPO to the tree or permit the work.
